This is easy, so easy for those days when you want something light and refreshing-Greek yogurt, blueberries, and raspberries-with a touch of naughty-a drizzle of maple syrup and honey roasted almonds. You can serve it for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dessert (and dinner doesn’t sound half bad, either). It’s a great pick me up on a sunny day, a perfect parfait for unexpected guests, and a nice dessert for a cool summer evening. Perhaps on a picnic watching the sunset? Or for breakfast on a cool, rainy morning, such as today. On a tray (decadent, I know.) with a hot (slightly tepid) cup of coffee and the local neighborhood paper (the part my 9-month-old baby did not destroy). Perhaps sitting on a porch swing as a whiff of honeysuckle or lilac drifts in with the wind? Now that’s decadent.
Layer it in clear plastic cups and it makes an awesome addition to a brunch buffet or an evening with family. Layer it in a clear bowl, even better a trifle bowl, and serve it at a potluck dessert table, a poolside barbecue, or a beachside picnic (well, maybe that last one in a clear plastic container). Show some patriotic pride for the Fourth of July or Memorial Day. However, wherever, whenever, with whomever, just eat it (Uncle) Sam I am. Try it. You just might like it.
